An Email with the Subject "Dear ona," was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 13 Feb 2008 03:04:54 -0800 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam Email. The sender shows as moondacharles <m_charles20@k.ro>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Dear ona, I am the head of the Bill and Exchange at Foreign Remittance Department of my bank. An investor Mr George Died without naming a legal next of kin to his fund in my bank. The amount is $15.7M and banking regulation/legislation in the country demand that i notify the fiscal authorities after five years. The above set of facts underscores my reason to seek your permission to have you stand as the next of kin to the deceased. These funds will be approve and release in your favour as the next of kin if only you will adhere to my instruction and cooperate with me in one accord.
