An Email with the Subject "I am waiting for your urgent reply" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 13 Feb 2008 09:32:22 -0800 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam Email. The sender shows as Chuckie G. Taylor <user3pin0@hotmail.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Hello, I am Mr. Ghankay Taylor. The son of former Liberia President who relinquished power to his vice President on the 11th of August 2003 to go on United Nations imposed exile to Calabar. My father was arrested on the 29th of March 2006 and extradited to my country for trials of war crimes he was accused of in Sierra Leon. He is presently in detention at The Hague waiting for the determination of his case by the International Criminal Court of Justice. After my father’s arrest, The government of Liberia seized all of my father’s known investment and freeze all his account alleging that he corruptly enriched himself when he was President. My mother and I were placed on surveillance and our phone conversation is being often monitored. The only save communication we have is internet. My father’s trusted friend betrayed my father by accepting to testify against him and also seized all my father’s wealth in his possession. Now I am my mother choose to put our trust in anybody who can assist us. I visited my father in Prison early this year and he told me that he buried Five Trunk Boxes of Diamond and $5,000,000.00 cash in an empty septic tank in a farm house he bought when we were in exile. He told me that he sealed the septic tank pit with concrete and made a garden on it and that nobody knew about it. My father told me that he did this because he suspected and had fears that all his assets will be seized after his arrest and it has now happened. We got information from the Estate Agent that sold the farm house to my father that the government of Liberia has seized the house and wants to auction it. The help we need from you is that we want you to bid for this farm house and buy it over. Then you will assist us secure the Diamond and Money boxes my father buried in the septic tank in the compound. The house is not important to us. What is important to us is the treasure buried in the compound. If the treasures is dug out, you will be paid Five Hundred Thousand Dollars. In addition, you will still retain or resell the house as you may wish because we don’t need it. Finally, you will be given a box of Diamond. Please do not let anyone know about this information. My father bought the house in 2005 for $60,000.00 but I want you to secure the house at any cost because of the treasure buried in the compound.
