My late father, Marshall Sokari Harry (died. March 5, 2003) was a Nigerian politician. He was the 
former National Vice chairman of the All Nigeria People's Party who was later assassinated in Abuja 
in 2003 during the presidential elections. He was buried in Obuama, 40 kilometers South of Port 
Harcourt, Rivers State, on July 5, 2003.

Previous to his murder, he was the chairman of the Rivers State People's Democratic Party. He left 
his position that year after he threatened to leave the party if the national executive of the 
party didn't carry out fresh party congresses in the state. He was immediately welcomed into the 
ANPP soon thereafter which angered the PDP; the late prominent politician was murdered in his Abuja 
home in the early hours of March 5, 2003, by five men believed to by five men believed to be hired 
assassins.

My father was born on July 6, 1942, in Obuama, Gegema Local Council area of Rivers State, to the 
family of Chief Sokari Harrison Youngman Tom Big Harry and the late Virginia Harrison. He was 
educated at the Bishop Crowther Memorial School, Abonnema and the famous Enitonia High School, 
Borikiri Port Harcourt. He received a honorary doctorate degree in Business Administration from the 
University of Southern California, Bakersfield, U.S.A. in 1989.

He was until his death the chairman and proprietor of Harrison Publishing and Harrison Petroleum 
Marketing Company. The present PDP government made life so miserable for me and my family as they 
seized my late father's assets. With the help of our family lawyer, John Okafor, the assets and 
deposit in Europe are safe and we want to relocate them to your country. The value of the assets is 
$11.5M, presently with a Finance Company.
