An Email with the Subject "REF:- INSTRUCTION TO CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT WITH THE SUM OF (US$9,600,000.00)" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 07 Mar 2007 09:16:12 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as MRS GENE OWEN <geneowenn@yahoo.co.uk>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

We received approval letter this morning from your paying bank directing our bank (BARCLAYS BANK PLC) to transfer your fund immediately into your nominated bank account.Your Paying bank Forwarded and contracted us to see to your immediate payment of the sum of USD9,600,00 from their Offshore Account with us. According to information gathered from our bank’s/security computer, you have been waiting for a long time to receive your money without success and also been going through hard ways by paying alot of charges to see to the release of your fund (UD$9,600,000,00) , which has been delayed. Which has been the handwork of some miscreant elements. We advice that you stop further communication with any correspondence or partner. You don't have to pay any charges to receive your fund anymore as you have met up with the whole requirements, your representatives will tell you to still go ahead with them but on your own risk. The only thing required from you is to obtain Non-Resident Clearance Form/Receipt which we are not asking you to pay the fee to us here in United Kingdom as the Government have paid us for handling/processing of your payment with other customers. We will help you to see that you obtain the form so that our bank will effect immediate transfer of your Inheritance sum (US$9,600,000,00) into your designated bank account. Should you follow up our directives, your fund will reflect in your account within five Bank working days from the day you obtain this form. Do not go through anybody again but through this Bank if you really want your fund. Finally, you are advice to forward to this bank your receiving Account. Where you want this fund to be remitted.
