An Email with the Subject "PayPal - Critical Account Information" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Mon, 17 Dec 2007 14:38:37 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "PayPal Accounts Department"<account-dept@paypal.com>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

        Dear PayPal Customer

                Due to concerns of account frauds, for the safety and integrity of you PayPal 
account we have issued
        this warning message.
                We have recently determined that different computers have tried logging into your 
PayPal account, 
        and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to 
re-confirm your 
        account information with PayPal so that we can properly protect you and your 
information.Once you 
        have updated your account records, your PayPal account service will not be interrupted and 
will continue
        as normal. However, if the information is not confirmed in 48 hours time from receiving 
this message, we will 
        be forced to suspend your account indefinitely.

        To update your account records, please click on the following link or enter it in your
