An Email with the Subject "Online Statement Notification" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 30 May 2007 20:21:59 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as First National Bank <security.alert@online-fnb.co.za>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

Dear FNB Customer:

We recently have determined that different computers have logged into your
Fnb Online Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons.
We now need you to log into your account and verify your account activity.
account we have issued this warning message.

It has come to our attention that your Fnb Bank account information needs to be
reactivated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to
reduce the instance of fraud on our website in this new Season.
Once you have reactivated your account records your Fnb Online Banking account
service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.
