An Email with the Subject "Wellsfargo costumer update" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Thu, 15 Mar 2007 08:47:05 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "Wellsfargo Banking Group. " <update@wellsfargo.com>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

Wellsfargo Banking Group. always look forward for the high security of our clients. Some customers have been receiving an email claiming to be from Wellsfargo Banking Group advising them to follow a link to what appear to be a Wellsfargo Banking Group web site, where they are prompted to enter their personal Online Banking details. Wellsfargo Banking Group is in no way involved with this email and the web site does not belong to us.

Wellsfargo Banking Group is proud to announce about their new updated secure system. We updated our new SSL servers to give our customers a better, fast and secure online banking service.

Due to the recent update of the servers, you are requested to please update your account info at the following link.
