An Email with the Subject "Barclays Online Banking" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Thu, 09 Mar 2006 18:55:42 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as protect your account <Service@barclays.co.uk>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

It has come to our attention that your Barclays® account information needs to be
updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to
reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes
out of your online experience and update your billing records you will not run into
any future problems with the online service.


However, failure to update your records will result in account suspension.
Please update your records on or before March 9, 2006.

Once you have updated your account records, your Barclays® session will not be
interrupted and will continue as normal.

This email was sent by the Barclays server to verify your e-mail address. You must complete this process by clicking on the link below and entering your account information .
