Job Summary The Transportation operations Supervisors must deliver the client with the best universal levels of service, meet and exceed the established purposes for on-time pick-up and delivery. Responsibilities may include, identify spheres to improve service levels, problem solutions, proactive approach with service supplier. This position includes logistics and transportation. This management position includes directly coordinating actions which are related to pre sales support of sales staff to build our credibility with prospects and transportation support including project analysing and planning, to receive and proceedcostumerâs purchases and orders via our partners FEDEX, UPS, USPS. Essential Functions Approve assigned service supplier for transportation based on the approved carrier matrix and cost efficiency to meet the customerâs expectations. Re-actively work with operations to identify shipments at risk of not meeting secure dates based on equipment type. Tender to Carriers and confirm scheduled and actual receive times. Consolidate shipments to guarantee logistic efficiency and price efficiency. Cooperate with providers on shipment recoveries as needed. Communicate cost effective transportation options. Update AMS with carrier , requested fields. Monitor carrier efficiency to guarantee compliance with service metrics. Assist in transportation interviews on an as needed basis Work with Delivery in transportation renewals and change orders as needed Able to work well in a team environment as well as individually.
