An Email with the Subject "If you ever sent money trough western union, please read the following message!" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 03 Mar 2010 18:16:46 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as Western Union<memberservice@westernunlon.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Dear Western Union member, We are sorry to inform you that your Western Union Online Account has been suspended. A high number of failed login attempts have been recorded on your online account. As a security measure we had to temporarily suspend your account. To restore your account we have attached a form to this email. Please download the form and follow the instructions on your screen. NOTE: The form needs to be opened in a modern, javascript enabled, browser (ex: Internet Explorer 8, Firefox 3, Safari 3, Opera 9). We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
