An Email with the Subject "Dear customer" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 27 Oct 2009 09:42:08 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as Bank of America<service@bofas.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Dear Bank of America member, We are sorry to inform you that your Bank of America Online Account has been suspended. A high number of failed login attempts have been recorded on your online account. As a security measure we had to temporarily suspend your account. To restore your account we have attached a form to this email. Please download the form and follow the instructions on your screen.
