An Email with the Subject "Wells Fargo Online Alert : Verify Your Information" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 01 Oct 2008 03:33:28 -0400 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "Service Wells Fargo" <onlinebanking@wellsfargo.com>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

We've noticed that you experienced trouble logging into Wells Fargo Online Banking.

After three unsuccessful attempts to access your account, your Wells Fargo Online Profile has been locked. This has been done to secure your accounts and to protect your private information. Wells Fargo is committed to making sure that your online transactions are secure.

To restore your account access, please take the following steps to ensure that your account has not been compromised:

Please Note:
If we do no receive the appropriate account verification within 48 hours, then we will assume this Bank account is fraudulent and will be suspended. The purpose of this verification is to ensure that your bank account has not been fraudulently used and to combat the fraud from our community.
