An Email with the Subject "Scam Email Submission" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Thu, 07 Aug 2008 23:36:52 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as "Ramu Chengalpattu Venugopal" <priyaaravindramu@gmail.com>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

Dear Sir / Madam,

This is to inform you that I have received one e.mail from Dr.James Fischer <drjames_fischer@hotmail.com>claims Agent,  from the desk of the claims director, Microsoft Lottery promo awards vide ref.no.MSN6/315116127/27  Batch No.15/623/UK - Regd.Lottery No. 220949 informing me that my e.mail address attached to winning number 29 -12A Aug 2008-02MSW serial No,S/N-00168 draw the lucky numbers : 08-15-23-32-35-49-09 which consequently won in the first catagory and have been approved for a lump sum pay out of 500,000.00 GBP and this is from the total prize of 2,500,000.00 GBP shared among five international winners in the catagory.

I was asked by the above said Dr.James Fischer to get in touch with one Mr.Joseph Jones, transfer officer, GYRO BANK AND FIDUCIARY UK, 7, Cabot Place, Promenade Level, Canary Wharf, London E14 4QS , e.mail : info.gyro1@gyrobank-fiduciary.co.uk.tt, Telephone Nos.+44 793 1592 952 / +44 704 5701 751 to get necessary funds transfer for the prized amount.

I contacted the above said GYRO BANK AND FIDUCIARY UK and received a reply mail from them wherein the said Joseph Jones adviced me to pay the compulsory premium surcharge of 438.00 pounds to secure United Kingdom Government Offshore Grant Clearance through western money in the name of Mr.Lewis James.Address : house 7, Cabot Place, Promonade Level,Canary Wharf, London E14 4QS, to transfer the funds of prized amount to my account in India.

The total episode is some what confusing and not very clear, hence taking the opportunity in requesting you to kindly enlighten me the facts and what I can do at this juncture with this on goings.
