An Email with the Subject "PRIVATE&CONFIDENTIAL" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sun, 01 Jun 2008 23:14:48 -0700 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam Email. The sender shows as "Jeffery Charles muahmed" <barr_charlesj12@yahoo.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Dear My name is Jeffery Charles muahmed a registered and practicing attorney in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I was an attorney to a deceased client of mine who died in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia of a heart related condition in November, 2001. His heart condition was due to the death of all the members of his family in the Air Philippines Boeing 737-200 that crashed in a foggy coconut grove in the southern Philippines on April 19, 2000 - 4:25 p.m., as reported on http://www.firehouse.com/news/2000/4/19_APplane.html . My reason of sending you this email is to help secure the funds left behind by my client before it is confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank where this fund valued at $5.7million dollars was deposited. Since you do have the same surname with my late client, I would want to present you as the legitimate beneficiary with all legal documents required backing the claim up. The holding bank has issued me a notice to contact the next of kin, or the account will be confiscated, and so far, all my efforts to get hold of someone related to this man has proved abortive. This is my proposal; I am asking for your consent to present you to the bank as the next-of-kin and beneficiary of my late client, since you have the same last name, so that the proceeds of this account can be paid to you. Then we can share the amount on a mutually agreed-upon percentage.
