An Email with the Subject "WESTERN UNION PAYMENT NOTIFICATION" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sun, 29 Aug 2010 10:13:21 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as Western Union <noreply@westernunion.com>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

WESTERN UNION PAYMENT NOTIFICATION Attention Beneficiary: I write to inform you that we have already sent you ($4,500 USD) through Western union as we have been given the mandate to transfer your part compensation payment of ($960,500.00 USD) via western union by the (IMF).Now, I decided to email you the MTCN and sender's name so that you will be able to pick up this ($4,500 USD) to enable us send another ($4,500 USD) today as you know we will be sending you only ($4,500 USD) per day.
