Search Scamdex & Scamalot
An Email with the Subject "Approved Payment" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 10 Aug 2010 09:53:59 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam Email. The sender shows as FINANCE MINISTRY <dredwardsmith@zoho.com>.
The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.
Dear Beneficiary, Your over due Contract/Inheritance payment of US$5 Million was approved Yesterday being 10th/08/2010 and you are hereby advised to forward your banking details and other neccessary information for the transfer of funds as concluded by the Board of the Directors of the Ministry of Finance here in Nigeria. Also be informed that your payment file will be forwarded to the paying bank as soon as we received your acknowledgement response to this payment approval notification.
