My office acknowledges the receipt of your response mail regarding the execution of the Will of
Late Dr. Maurice Wohl. As you already know, my name is Barrister Christopher Andrew of the above
law firm and I was the personal and confidential attorney to (Dr. Maurice Wohl) till his death.
Late Dr. Maurice Wohl was a very dedicated philanthropist. His philosophy of life earned him
numerous awards during his lifetime. Until his death, Late Dr. Maurice Wohl made a Commander of the
British Empire (CBE), he was a self-made real estate magnate, a crude oil dealer and was known
worldwide for his generosity.
He was the president of the Jerusalem Great Synagogue, and also a benefactor of Bar-Ilan
University, Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem and Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, as well as
many other Israeli institutions. He was a very dedicated man who loved to be involved in
humanitarian and charitable projects not because it gave him prestige and fame but because it was
the right thing to do.
