A Scam Email with the Subject "ABSA - Account Restriction Alert" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 14 May 2008 21:49:36 -0700 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam. The sender was ABSA Internet Banking <admin@absa.co.za>, although it may have been spoofed.

We're committed to protecting you when you bank with us. Our Banking-standard
level of security ensures that you can always access your Absa Bank accounts
online with confidence.
To ensure you are always protected,we've placed your account on restriction statues
due to Multiple Log-in attempt error.This will be rectified if your Log on details are
remembered correctly, as any mistake will lead to permanent restriction.
