An Email with the Subject "Hsbc Account Security Update" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sun, 13 Apr 2008 11:16:56 -0700 and has been classified as a Phishing, ID Theft Scam Email. The sender shows as Hsbc Account Department <security@hsbc.co.uk>.

The email address was probably spoofed. Do not reply to or contact any persons or organizations referenced in this email, or follow any URLs as you may expose yourself to scammers and, at the very least, you will be added to their email address lists for spam purposes.

 Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the HSBC
account we have issued this warning message.

However, failure to update your records will result in account suspension.
Please update your records on or before April 22, 2008.

Once you have updated your account records your HSBC account
