A Scam Email with the Subject "Security Measures" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 01 Jan 2008 13:55:34 -0800 and has been classified as a Phishing, ID Theft Scam. The sender was "Citibank Support" <xxxxxuxojdszwn@netvip.com>, although it may have been spoofed.

Additional Security Requirements

Dear valued Citibank user,

Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the online banking community we have issued the following warning message.

It has come to our attention that your Citibank account information needs to be updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and enroll in the security upgrade, you will not run into any future problems with the Citibank online banking service. However, failure to meet our security requirements will result in your account suspension.

Once you have enrolled in our security upgrade your pending Citibank account transactions will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.
