This email with the subject "Important Notification" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 13 Feb 2007 17:31:51 -0800 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam.

The sender was "Capital One Bank Account Review Department"<>, although it may have been spoofed.

We have strong reasons to believe that your Capital One account has been recently compromised. In order to prevent any fraudulent activity from occurring, we are required to open an investigation into this matter.

According to User Agreement, Section 9, we may immediately issue a warning, temporarily suspend, indefinitely suspend or terminate your online banking and refuse to provide our services to you if we believe that your actions may cause financial loss or legal liability for you, our users or us. We may also take these actions if we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us.
