A Scam Email with the Subject "Bank mail from Barclays IBank" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Thu, 16 Nov 2006 14:18:45 -0800 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam. The sender was Barclays UK <>, although it may have been spoofed.

Barclays bank's technical department is carrying out a scheduled
software upgrade to improve the quality of services for the bank's customers.
We urgently request you to go to the link below and confirm your bank details.

These instructions are being sent to all Barclays bank customers.
In case of failure to meet requirements of bank within 48 hours, your
account will be temporarily suspended in order to prevent unsafe transactions.
We apologise for the inconvenience and thank you for your co-operation.
