A Scam Email with the Subject "Urgent Barclays security message" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 11 Apr 2006 19:41:35 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Barclays IBank Plc <Service@barclays.co.uk>, although it may have been spoofed.


Dear Barclays Customer,

We Hereby notify you that Your Account has been suspended due to unauthorised activities we noticed going on in your account. Due to this we advice you to VERIFY your account to clearify you as the legitimate owner of this barclays online account by clicking the following link.

Note: you will be asked to provide the following details :
1 Surname
2 Membership number
3 Five-digit passcode
4 memorable word.
