This email with the subject "Re: Reimbursement Fund" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Mon, 06 May 2013 10:03:43 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam.

The sender was "United Nations" <>, although it may have been spoofed.

Dear valued citizen,

We bring to your notice the recent action in the compensation department of the United Nations
Compensation Commission (UNCC). The total sum of Two Billion U.S Dollars ($2.5 Billion) has been
approved by this commission UNCC; to support natural disaster victims.

UNCC is a subsidiary organ of the UN Security Council. UNCC mandate is to retrieve lost funds
through various law agencies, and to process claims and pay compensation for losses and damages
suffered as a result of natural disasters. The amount above has been approved for payment through
the U.S Department of the Treasury. However, selected individual(s) will receive the sum of
$3,255,000.00 each. This is to support people in the region affected by natural disasters.

This has been approved and duly signed by the Finance Department of the United Nations Compensation
Commission. Hence, the Japanese, Australian, and the British Prime Minister in conjunction with the
U.S Government, World Bank and United Nations hereby give the following Irrevocable Approval,
with Release No: UN/US/AU-GB/JP298/2013 for payment reference. You thus qualify to receive this
payment after bank verification.
