A Scam Email with the Subject "Your accountant license can be declined." was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Fri, 07 Dec 2012 11:29:16 -0800 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam. The sender was "AICPA" <info@aicpa.org>, although it may have been spoofed.

Termination of CPA license due to tax return fraud accusations


Dear AICPA member,

We have been notified of your alleged interest in tax return swindle  on behalf of one of your employers. In accordance with AICPA Bylaw Article 600 your Certified Public Accountant position can be declined in case of the act of filing of a phony or fraudulent income tax return for your client or employer.

Please be notified below and provide your feedback to it within 21 work days. The failure to provide elucidation within this period would result in discontinuation of your Accountant license.
