A Scam Email with the Subject "GOOD DAY" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sun, 16 May 2010 09:55:38 -0700 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam. The sender was "Mr. Edward Blanchard" <>, although it may have been spoofed.

Hello Dear,

I’m the regional manager of  Habib Financial  Bank Group, London, and also the final signatory to 
any transfer or remittance of huge funds moving within banks both on the local and international 
levels in line with foreign claim settlement, 

I hope that you will not expose or betray this trust and confident that I am about to repose on you 
for the mutual benefit of our both families.

I need your urgent assistance in transferring the sum of Ten Million Six Hundred thousand British 
Pounds tally (GBP Ј10.600, 000, 00) only to your Account within 14 banking days, this money has 
been dormant for years in our Bank without claim.

I want our Bank to release the money to you as the nearest person to our deceased customer, the 
owner of the account died along with his supposed next of kin since 2006 in Iraq war.

I don't want the money to go into our Bank treasury as an abandoned funds, therefore is the reason 
why I contacted you so that our bank Head Office would approve and release the money to you as the 
next of kin to the deceased customer hence you are a foreigner like  our let customer therefore the 
process of this transfer will go to your favor as I am here to make it happen.

Please I would like you to keep this proposal as a top secret and delete it if you are not 
interested, upon receipt of your reply I shall give you full details on how the business will be 
executed and also note that you will have 40% of the above mentioned sum if you agree to handle 
this business with me.

To commence the process of claiming the funds, I will require the following information from you,
(1)Your:  Full names 
(2)Your:  Telephone and fax numbers. 
(3)Your:  Contact address. 
(4)Your:  Date of birth. 
(5)Your:  Occupation.
As soon as I receive this information I will register your name in our Banking computer System and 
file-in a formal application to this bank for the inheritance in your name as next-of-kin of the 
deceased. That will enable our Bank Head Office to process the transaction with you as beneficiary 
and remit the funds in your name as (Inheritor).
