A Scam Email with the Subject "Please help me, if this is a scam they have my name and address." was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sat, 23 Aug 2008 14:53:01 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was THIS IS JEFF <>, although it may have been spoofed.

This is the note that i recieved:

ATTN: WINNER :(my name),
I want to inform you that your verification details have been received and have been processed.
Your funds have been approved for release and we will begin the process of remittance of your prize money to you immediately. I have contacted the UK National Lottery Advisory Board and The Internal Revenue Board on this matter and we have decided to send your winning parcel which contains your certified bank cheque, original copies of your winning certificate, consolation prizes which include a Dell Inspiron 6400 Laptop, a UK Lottery Branded T-shirt, a UK Lottery Branded Baseball cap and security Documents via a secured and efficient courier service.
We have also contacted our affiliate Courier Company GLOBAL MAX DELIVERIES and have directed them to pick up your winning parcel from the National Head Quaters.

We have been working hand in hand with the Global Max Courier Company for the past years now and they have succesfully delivered parcel to legitimate winners like you.
