Compliments of the season. It is indeed my pleasure to write to you this letter, which I believe will be a suprise, as we are both complete strangers.
I am Richard K. Jethro, Head Accounts Management Section of a reputable Bank here in
One of our accounts with holding balance of US$18, 5m has been dormant and last operated in the past 4 years. From investigations & confirmations, the money belongs to one of our foreign customer who was among 102 Victims of Algerian Boeing 737 Plane Crash on Thursday, March 06, 2003. Since then nobody has done anything as regards to the claiming of this money as he has no family member that is aware of the existence of either the account or the fund. Several attempt to trace any of his relative were un-ssuccessful
My bank is presently and by law the custodian of the money belonging to the deceased, whose account I am responsible for monitoring and officiating. The present mandate I have to present a credible beneficiary opens the way for us to take advantage of the situation and use the money to positively affect the lives of many instead of allowing the funds to be completely lost, since no one knows about the money and no one will come forward to claim the money as we already know.
I have confidentially discussed this issue with some official and we have agreed to find a reliable foreign partner to deal with. We thus propose to do business with you, standing in as the next of kin and fund released to you after due processes have been followed.
The sharing partern is as follows:
(A) Your share of the entire sum will be 26.5%
(B) Our share shall be 59%
(C) 14.5% will be set aside for taxation & miscellaneous expenses
I will not fail to bring to your notice that this business is hitch free and that you should not entertain any fear as all modalities for fund transfer can be finalized within five banking days, after you apply to the bank as a relation to the deceased.
When you receive this letter, kindly send me an e-mail signifying your decision, including your private Tel/Fax numbers for quick communication.
I will be very happy if you can treat this business with the utmost secrecy it demands because of my position in this bank.
Hoping for a very successful business relationship with you.
Mr. Richard K. Jethro.
