A Scam Email with the Subject "Online Banking Development" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Mon, 30 Aug 2010 22:05:40 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Absa Internet Banking <info-update@absa.co.za>, although it may have been spoofed.


Dear Absa Bank customers,


Absa Bank has changed the security of Online Bank users
to hasten and confirm your identity without hesitation and safe guard
your Online Bank Account which are too weak for our new improvement.
Absa is imploring you to adapt to the new security changes
on your bank account and therefore we have reduced
the functions of your account and cannot receive or send funds.
