A Scam Email with the Subject "From the Desk, United Nations Sec. Gen." was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 10 Aug 2010 09:03:48 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was "Sec. Gen. United Nations (Mr. Ban Ki Moon)"<info@unitednations.org>, although it may have been spoofed.

From the Desk of the Secretary General of United Nations (UN) in collaboration with the World Football Governing Body (FIFA), pleased to inform you that the amount of $750,000USD (Seven Hundred and Fifty Thousand United States Dollars) is ready to be paid in your favour has one of our beneficiaries for this Year Compensation Program being for the successful host of the first ever senior Football WorldCup held on Africa Soul, South Africa 2010. We appreciate all your moral contributions and efforts towards the success of the mundial.
 
However, to this effect, you are advised and instructed to contact the person designated for this program where your funds fall, and ill direct your to the Finance/Transfer Department of the Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) where your fund is deposited for the transfer of the fund to your Bank Account.
