A Scam Email with the Subject "Your access is limited" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Fri, 24 Feb 2017 10:07:25 -0500 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was PayPal <firstname.lastname@example.org>, although it may have been spoofed.
There seems to be quite a number of login attempts that we have monitored
indicating someone was trying to use your account
without your knowledge.
Due to this, PayPal has limited your account temporarily
until we hear from you. Normally, there can be a number of
reasons why PayPal limits an account. In this case, your
account was limited to add greater security and to
protect you and your account.
When we limit an account, there are certain things
that our security system prevents you from doing; this usually includes
receiving, sending, or withdrawing money.
We ask that you please open the attachment that we
have sent from this email. It is a form that you
need to go through in order to confirm your identity
After doing so, we can then carefully review your
information that you have provided and remove the limitation. It shouldn't take
too much time for us to process.
We apologize for the inconvenience.
