A Scam Email with the Subject "New Security Feature The SRC CODE" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Fri, 15 Dec 2006 07:52:17 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was PayPal <security@paypal.com>, although it may have been spoofed.

updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to 
reduce the instance of fraud on our website.  If you could please take 5-10 minutes

The purpose of the SRC CODE is to colect your network card mac address and to establish a secure connection to your account   

Once you have activated the SRC CODE PayPal will accept the login to your account only from the computer where you made the SRC CODE active in this way your account is 100% protected from any kind of abuse PayPal® session will not be 
interrupted and will continue as normal.
