A Scam Email with the Subject "Standard Bank (Online Banking Security Notification)" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Thu, 25 Oct 2007 03:23:33 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Standard Bank <ibsupport@standardbank.co.za>, although it may have been spoofed.

Due to the on-going routine maintenance of online
banking machineries at Standard Bank, we might be
experiencing some technical difficulties. We therefore
implore you to update your online access details to avoid
account suspension
