A Scam Email with the Subject "Renew Account Information" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 27 Sep 2006 07:14:09 -0700 and has been classified as a Phishing, ID Theft Scam. The sender was "Hawaii State ederal Credit Union" <firstname.lastname@example.org>, although it may have been spoofed.
Due to concerns, for
the safety and integrity of the Hawaii State Federal Credit Union
account we have issued this warning message.
It has come to our attention that
your Hawaii State Federal Credit Union account information needs to be
updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to
reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes
out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run into
any future problems with the online service.
However, failure to update your
records will result in account suspension.
Please update your records on or before September 28, 2006.
Once you have updated your account records your Hawaii State Federal Credit Union account
service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal.
