A Scam Email with the Subject "IMPORTANT: Security Issues [Incident: 040921]" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sun, 13 May 2007 16:16:36 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Bank of America Security Dept. <security@bankofamerica.com>, although it may have been spoofed.




We recently have determined that different computers have logged onto your Online Banking account, and multiple password failures were present before the logons. We now need you to re-confirm your account information to us.

If this is not completed by May 14, 2007, we will be forced to suspend your account indefinitely, as it may have been used for fraudulent purposes. We thank you for your cooperation in this manner.
