A Scam Email with the Subject "Your account has been suspended" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Fri, 06 Oct 2006 08:09:41 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was "E*TRADE FINANCIAL"<accounts@etrade.com>, although it may have been spoofed.

Dear Customer,

YOUR ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED !!!

After the energy breakdown from 24/09/2006 it appears that some of our
hardware is not working properly. The data of five thousands customers
stored on computer backup tapes was lost.
Can we regain what was once lost? - YES

E*TRADE FINANCIAL temporarily suspended your account.
Some restrictions applied untill you update your account at eznetconnect .

Once you have completed these steps, we will send you an email notifying
that your account is unsuspended. After that you can upgrade or downgrade
your account at any time.
The information provided will be treated in confidence and stored in our secure database.
If you fail to provide information about your account you'll discover that your account
has been automatically deleted from E*TRADE FINANCIAL database.
