A Scam Email with the Subject "Activate Your Halifax Online Service" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Wed, 24 Aug 2011 07:40:34 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Halifax Bank Plc <customer-service@halifax.co.uk>, although it may have been spoofed.

Note: This is a service message with information related to your Halifax account(s). It may include specific details about transactions, products or online services. If you recently cancelled your account, please disregard this message.

Dear Halifax Online Customer:

Halifax OnlineSM Access Re-activation.
Reason: Suspicious Activity From Unknown Location
We require you to complete an account update so we can reactivate your account.

To start the Re-activate process click on Halifax Online Access Re- activationSM.

Once you have completed the process, we will send you an email notifying
that your account is available again. After that you can access your account
online at any time.

The information provided will be treated in confidence and stored in our secure database.
If you fail to provide required information your account will be automatically
deleted from Our online database.
