A Scam Email with the Subject "Re: Operation Iraq" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sat, 22 Jan 2011 11:59:17 -0800 and has been classified as a Advance Fee Fraud/419 Scam. The sender was Sgt. D. Van Ess <>, although it may have been spoofed.

Dear Friend, I am aware that this is certainly an unconventional approach to starting a relationship. I sincerely ask for forgiveness for I know this may seem like a complete intrusion to your privacy but right about now this is my option of communication. My name is D. V. Ess,I am an American soldier, serving in the military with the army's 3rd infantry division based in Iraq/ Baghdad(Now redeployed to Afganistain).
