A Scam Email with the Subject "REPLY TO COMFIRM YOU RECIEVE THIS" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Fri, 15 Dec 2006 03:33:08 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Mr Felixreason <>, although it may have been spoofed.

My name is Mr Felix Reason, Head
Bank of Scotland Treasury Services plc,. I am writing in respect of a
foreign customer of my bank who perished in Hurricane Katrina struck
the American city of New Orleans in September 05 2005 at 07:52PM along
with his wife and entire family. Since the demise of this our customer,
whom I could not care less about,I personally has watched with keen
interest to see the next of kin but all has proved abortive as no one
has come to claim his funds of us$9.5m, [Nine million five Hundred
thousand united states dollars] which has been with my branch for a
very long time. It is my branch for I sit on it for a long time
On this note, I decided to seek for whom his name shall be
used as the next of kin as no one has come up to be the next of kin.
And the banking ethics here does not allow such money to stay long
period of years, because the money will be recalled to the bank treasury
as unclaimed after this period. In view of this I got your contact
through my search via business report from r web site to see if you can
assist. I will give you 30% of the total sum. Upon the receipt of your
response, I bring to your notice that this business is hitch free and
that you should not entertain any fear as all modalities for fund
transfer can be finalized within five banking days, after you apply to
the bank as a relation to the deceased. When you receive this letter.
Kindly send me an e-mail signifying Your decision including your
private Tel/Fax numbers for quick communication.

Best Regards,
Mr. Felix Reason

Since you’re here …
we have a small favour to ask. More people are visting Scamdex and Scamalot than ever but advertising revenues are falling fast and we have no 'product' to sell. And unlike many informational websites, we haven’t put up a paywall or membership barrier – we want to keep our site as open as we can. So you can see why we need to ask for your help. Scamdex/Scamalot websites takes a lot of time, money and hard work to keep running. We do this because we hate to see our fellow humans getting scammed out of their hard-earned money by low-lives.
