A Scam Email with the Subject "Notice : You Have 1 New Security Message Alert" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 27 May 2008 03:00:12 -0400 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was "Wells Fargo Online"<wellsfargo@wellsconnect.wellsfargo.com>, although it may have been spoofed.

Due to concerns, for the safety and integrity of the wells Fargo Online Banking we have issued this warning message.

It has come to our attention that wells Fargo Online Banking information needs to be
updated as part of our continuing commitment to protect your account and to
reduce the instance of fraud on our website. If you could please take 5-10 minutes
out of your online experience and update your personal records you will not run into
any future problems with the online service.

Once you have updated your account records your wells Fargo Online Banking
service will not be interrupted and will continue as normal. And this is to Inform
you that our Home page would be taking a new look, extra verification would be needed.
You will now be required to enter your Password for Extra security Measures.
