A Scam Email with the Subject "Multiple Login Attempt Error On Your Internet Banking Account" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Tue, 09 Dec 2008 01:28:39 -0800 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was Abbey Online Banking Alert <onlinebanking-securityalert@abbey.co.uk>, although it may have been spoofed.

During our usual security enhancement protocol, we observed multiple login attempt error while login in to your online banking account. We have believed that someone other than you is trying to access your account for security reasons, we have temporarily suspend your account and your access to online banking and will be restricted if you fail to verify.
