A Scam Email with the Subject "GNPC LETTER" was received in one of Scamdex's honeypot email accounts on Sat, 31 Jul 2010 23:24:26 -0700 and has been classified as a Generic Scam. The sender was "GNPC"<>, although it may have been spoofed.

Dear Sir,

With warm heart I offer my friendship, and greetings, and I hope this mail meets you in good time.

However strange or surprising this contact might seem to you as we have not met personally or had 
any dealings in the past, I humbly ask that you take due consideration of its importance and 
immense benefit. I duly apologize for infringing on your privacy; if this contact is not acceptable 
to you First and foremost I wish to introduce my self properly to you. I am Mr. Nana Boakye 
Asafu-Adjaye ,the managing director of Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC).

I and my colleagues who are top officers in this Corporation write to seek your assistance in the 
transfer of over-invoiced contract amounts totalling millions of United States Dollars into an 
account that you will nominate. We have unanimously agreed that we will give you 40% of the total 
sum while 60% will be for us. I will give you other details upon receipt of your acceptance reply.
