Taking down the ‘Bad’ Domains is hard

Larry Selzer in his latest blog says that “Often the best way to thwart an Internet attack is to take down the domain names involved in it, but this is a hard thing to do under current rules. “

This is true in so many ways and the problem needs to be addressed at point of creation. It’s way too easy to claim your domain and start using it for a scamsite. In some cases it doesnt even cost anything – there are many ‘free’ websites out there that allow you to build a web
